Data-Driven Health: My Journey and the Mission of ‘Pathya’

For years, my professional life revolved around data, algorithms, and complex systems. Having spent over a decade leading strategy, digital transformation, data and decision science in banking, my job revolved around looking at raw data, predicting the risk before it happens and building robust systems that never fail while being seamless, simple and user first by design.
Then, life forced me to apply that exact same lens to human health.
For generations, my family has been devastated by lifestyle-driven diseases. I watched my parents, aunts, and uncles suffer through poor quality of life in their old age. I saw firsthand the brutal domino effect of obesity and diabetes—leading to kidney failure (diabetic nephropathy), vision loss (retinopathy), painful knee surgeries, dementia and sudden, tragic heart attacks. I also saw many young women struggle with conditions such as PCOS or endometriosis silently in pain for years.
When I looked at my own health, I realized the cycle was continuing. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s (subclinical hypothyroidism) and discovered I have genetically elevated Lipoprotein(a) Lp(a), putting me at a naturally higher risk for cardiovascular disease.
I realized that treating diseases after they appear is a failing strategy. Given my background, I always understood the importance of being prudent, monitoring and managing risk before it builds up and acting well in time. Yet, why don’t we do that with our health? That was the spark for ‘Pathya’. So, I decided to take the data backed risk-modeling and digital experience principles from my career and apply them to health and longevity. At ‘Pathya’, we want to make it simple for you to track your body’s critical markers. More importantly, we interpret that data—translating complex medical metrics into clear, actionable lifestyle shifts.
We cannot change our genetics, but by measuring what matters and acting early, we can change the way we age. I am building ‘Pathya’ to help all of us add vibrant, healthy decades to our lives.
